Ezekiel 25:17...

Jules: You read the Bible?
Ringo: Not regularly.
Jules: There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. "
I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. .45 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin, Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd...

I don't get it, CJM. I like the movie Pulp Fiction, too, but I don't need to read the script on the Bub.

Wait a minute??? Maybe he was sneaking religious material past the editor under the guise of movie quotes???? Next thing we will see are "WMD, The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein" quotes and all hell will break lose on the bub. We need clean, sanitized reading folks!

Smelly, If you go back to the faux "O'brien's: Part 2" post you'll see an interesting comment from an evangelical, a woman who probably searched on the term "Son of God" and found our site by mistake. It's actually kind of humorous, the first two lines or so until she starts preaching. Not long after that the mysterious right margin Bible inserts began appearing and then Slag began with his secular protestations. I thought a corrupted version of an actual passage from the Bible, Ezekiel 25:17, from a landmark early 90s movie was appropriate in the context of this somewhat religion-tainted and bizarre post-crazy week on our team blog. But I understand your comment. We need more original and fresh contributions and less excuses about weekend drinking keeping us from this important responsibility.
