By Margot Habiby Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- The plane that crashed into a New York apartment building on Oct. 11 devastated the home of the woman who was critically injured during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1997, the New York Daily News reported today.
The engine of the plane was found feet away from where Kathleen Caronna sleeps, the newspaper said. Caronna was injured in the 1997 parade when an out-of-control Cat in the Hat balloon knocked part of a lamppost onto her head, the newspaper said.
The plane contained Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle and flight instructor Tyler Stanger when it crashed into the Belaire building on East 72nd Street where Caronna lives with her husband and 7-month-old son.
Caronna spent 24 days in a coma after the parade injury and later sued Macy's and the city for $395 million, the Daily News said, adding that she settled the suit in 2001 for an undisclosed amount.

Too funny, I mean if weren't so horrifically tragic, of course.
I was of course referring to CJM's post. Stalwart's post was just plain ol' funny.
Philly Laughs, hahahahaha, we just unloaded him to the Mets!
Better luck next trade!
What are the odds?

That is wacky. I'm glad she's alright this time. What next? Her son getting trampled by a moss-covered three-handled family gradunza?
